Tallahassee Memorial HealthCare is seeking a highly skilled Surgical Technologist/Lead to join our team. As a key member of our surgical team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the operating room environment and providing exceptional patient care.
Key Responsibilities- Prepare and maintain the operating room environment, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
- Assist with patients' peri-operative care, including preparing patients for surgery and providing post-operative care.
- Develop and promote surgical technology and practice standards, both within and outside the operating room.
- Assume additional duties of an assistant service line leader for one or more surgical specialties, including developing new procedures and instrumentation training, mentoring new staff members, and participating in unit quality assurance and lean initiatives.
- High school diploma (or equivalent) and completion of a Surgical Technologist program accredited by the Commission on Accreditation of Allied Health Education Programs (CAAHEP).
- Two (2) years of O.R. experience required; five (5) years of O.R. experience preferred.
- Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) credential.
