Job Title: Radiation Therapist

About the Role:
The Radiation Therapist will perform duties related to the administration of radiation to cancer patients. This role requires a supportive and professional demeanor, with the ability to build strong relationships with patients who are facing a terminal illness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Educate patients and families on identified learning needs
  • Maintain accurate and complete therapy records for each patient
  • Review charts daily for changes to prescription, plans, calculations, and blocking
  • Safely and accurately administer radiation therapy in an efficient manner according to guidelines
  • Accurately position patients according to instructions provided in the chart and deliver the prescribed radiation dose and treatment
  • Verify correct prescription, treatment plan, calculations, simulation/setup information, and signed consent before the initiation of radiation treatment per site/plan

Requirements:
  • BCLS certification
  • Current state of New Jersey license
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists-Registered Radiation Therapist
  • Graduate of an approved Radiation Therapy Technology Program
  • Minimum of 3 years experience as a Radiation Therapist

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree
