Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled Radiologic Technologist to join our team at Northwell Health. As a key member of our diagnostic imaging team, you will be responsible for performing radiographic procedures, reviewing imaging requests, and communicating effectively with patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review imaging requests to determine proper exam protocols and identify indications of WET or STAT readings.
  • Confirm patient identity and communicate effectively with patients, translating examination procedures into layman terms.
  • Perform radiographic procedures, including reviewing processed radiographs to ensure exam quality and accuracy.
  • Document exam completion in patient medical records and maintain cleanliness and safety of exam areas and equipment.
  • Monitor supply levels and inform supervisor of ordering needs, and notify supervisor of any radiographic equipment malfunctions.
  • May participate in orientation of new Technologists and perform related clerical duties, including computer data entry and maintaining logs.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an approved Radiologic Technology program.
  • New York State Department of Health licensure as a Radiologic Technologist.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) registration.
  • Experience with Radiology Information System, PC, radiographic equipment, and other relevant technologies.

Additional Information:
