As a vital member of our healthcare team, the Radiologic Technologist is responsible for producing high-quality radiographic images that assist physicians in diagnosing medical conditions. This role requires a commitment to patient care and adherence to safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture radiologic images with precision to support medical evaluations.
- Prepare and position patients effectively for imaging procedures.
- Select appropriate exposure factors to ensure optimal image quality.
- Administer contrast media and medications in compliance with regulations.
- Monitor patients during procedures and report any unusual findings.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of protocols and suggest improvements as necessary.
- Adhere to radiation safety guidelines to minimize exposure risks.
- Ensure the timely submission of high-quality images to the PACS system.
- Perform routine checks on equipment and report any malfunctions.
- Contribute to the cleanliness and organization of the department.
Qualifications:
- Current BLS certification required within 30 days of hire.
- Credentialing in one of the following is mandatory within 90 days of hire:
- Cardiographic Technician from Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI).
- Radiologic Technologist specializing in Radiography from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
- Medical Sonographer from the American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS).
- High School diploma or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience, or an Associate's/Technical degree, or 4 years of applicable experience.
