Volunteer Firefighter

The Lake Mary Fire Department is seeking highly motivated and dedicated individuals to join our Volunteer Firefighter team. As a Volunteer Firefighter, you will play a vital role in providing emergency response services to our community.

• Participate in emergency response calls, including fire suppression, medical emergencies, and other incidents
• Operate fire apparatus and equipment, including engines, trucks, and rescue vehicles
• Assist with fire prevention and education efforts in the community
• Participate in regular training exercises to maintain and improve skills
• Work collaboratively with full-time firefighters and other emergency responders

• Be at least 18 years old
• Hold a valid Class C driver's license
• Have a high school diploma or equivalent
• Be physically fit and able to pass a medical evaluation
• Be willing to commit to regular training and emergency response calls

• EMT certification or paramedic training
• Firefighter 1 certification or equivalent
• Previous experience in emergency response or firefighting
