Job Summary

Geisinger Laboratory Medicine is seeking a board-eligible/board-certified cytopathologist. Additional expertise in head and neck or pulmonary pathology is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide integrated pathology services within Geisinger practice in a sub-specialty model
  • Contribute to Geisinger Commonwealth School of Medicine academic appointment and research opportunities
  • Collaborate with a team of 44 pathologists and PhDs, including 9 cytopathologists and 9 cytotechnologists
  • Promote teaching responsibilities for medical students, pathology residency, and well-established cytopathology fellowship program
  • Participate in extensive panel of immunohistochemical stains and advanced ancillary testing including organ specific NGS testing performed in-house
Position Details

This role offers a competitive salary of $450,000 - $650,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, you will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package, including vision, dental, and domestic partner benefits from day one.

Requirements:
  • Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree
  • Licensed Medical Doctor in the State of Pennsylvania
  • Board-eligible/board-certified cytopathologist with additional expertise in head and neck or pulmonary pathology
