Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Floor Nurse to join our team at a small skilled nursing facility in the North Suburbs. As a Floor Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care to our residents, working collaboratively with our interdisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Provide basic assistance to residents, including bathing, dressing, walking, and use of wheelchairs
  • Monitor residents' overall conditions, including vital signs and physical and mental decline
  • Report and administer orders from physicians for the care of each resident
  • Administer medications, tube feedings, and various other clinical treatments
  • Assist residents with common geriatric conditions, such as sleeping disorders, mobility loss, and incontinence
  • Supervise Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) and staff to meet residents' needs
  • Collaborate with supportive staff, including therapists and dietitians, to meet the goals of each resident
Requirements
  • At least 2-3 years of experience working as a floor nurse in a long-term care facility or hospital
  • Registered Nurse in the state of Illinois
  • Well-developed communication, organizational, and presentation skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment
