Overview:

The Diagnostic Imaging Service is seeking an Advanced Diagnostic Radiologic Technologist (Ultrasound) to join our dedicated team.

Essential Qualifications:
  1. Citizenship: Must be a U.S. citizen.
  2. Certification: Required certification in general radiologic technology by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology, Radiography (ARRT) (R). Advanced ARRT certification is necessary for roles involving computed tomography (CT), magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), or Mammography (M) duties.
  3. Education: Completion of a comprehensive training program in diagnostic radiologic technology lasting at least 24 months, leading to a certificate or associate degree, accredited by the Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT).
  4. Language Proficiency: Proficiency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
Key Responsibilities:
  1. Conduct ultrasound examinations utilizing non-ionizing, high-frequency sound waves for the diagnosis of medical conditions.
  2. Perform specialized evaluations of major and minor organ systems as well as vascular systems.
  3. Execute quality assurance testing on ultrasound equipment using phantoms and established checklists.
  4. Maintain thorough records of quality assurance testing procedures.
  5. Identify diagnostic scans and collaborate with the Staff Radiologist to ensure accurate diagnoses.
