Job Summary

The Early Childhood Educator is responsible for creating a nurturing environment that fosters the cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development of young children. This role requires a strong understanding of child development and the ability to design and implement engaging educational activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement curriculum that aligns with early learning standards and developmentally appropriate practices.
  • Lead by example and coach teaching team members to ensure a cohesive and effective learning environment.
  • Plan and execute individual and group activities that promote social, cognitive, and emotional growth.
  • Maintain open communication with parents through regular updates and conferences.
  • Ensure compliance with center policies and state regulations.
  • Supervise teacher assistants and volunteers to ensure they are following planned activities and safety standards.
  • Maintain accurate records and files.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance teaching skills and knowledge.
Requirements
  • Minimum of 2 years of professional child care experience.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well in a team environment and foster a positive and inclusive atmosphere.
  • Infant/child CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Associate's Degree in early childhood education or related field of study with a minimum of 30 Credits in ECE.
  • Ability to meet physical demands of the job, including frequent walking and standing.
