Medical Screener

Quest Diagnostics is seeking a skilled Health Screening Specialist to join our team. As a Health Screening Specialist, you will be responsible for providing high-quality health screening services to clients in a professional and safe environment.
Key Responsibilities- Perform biometric screenings at client sites, including finger stick blood collection, BMI, blood pressure, and other health screening services based on service package.
- Conduct basic waived testing technical procedures on blood samples and complete required quality control.
- Provide exceptional customer service to clients and employees at all health screenings.
- Maintain accurate, complete, and legible records of health screening services.
- Participate in training and continuing education programs as necessary to stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
- Comply with all designated safety policies and procedures in the work area, including the use of personal protective equipment when necessary to prevent exposure to potentially infectious agents.
- Understand and comply with applicable federal, state, and local laws, as well as quality assurance procedures and good manufacturing practices.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and OSHA standards at all times.
- At least 1 year of healthcare experience in a professional setting preferred.
- Lift light to moderately heavy objects, up to 15 pounds, frequently, and objects up to 40 pounds occasionally.
- Requires fine dexterity with hands and steadiness.
- Ability to handle stress and emotions, concentrate on tasks, make decisions, and adjust to change.
- Excellent customer service skills and ability to read, understand, and follow detailed procedures.
- Basic computer skills, including access to the internet and email.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Outlook, and Excel.
