We are in search of a qualified Special Education Instructor to join our team, focusing on Mild/Moderate special education needs.
Your responsibilities will encompass case management and the provision of specialized academic instruction, both in-class and in separate settings, while managing a caseload of approximately 15 students. This position is situated in an inclusive educational environment, with a supportive special education team and a manageable caseload size, making it an ideal opportunity.

We are a private practice and Non-Public Agency (NPA) with extensive experience in delivering exceptional services within educational settings.
Our approach is collaborative, rooted in a commitment to ongoing education and excellence in serving students with special needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted instruction to students with special needs and recognized learning disabilities using a blended instructional model that fosters student development and enrichment.
Conduct and evaluate individual assessments and standardized tests.
Oversee the creation, proposal, and execution of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for eligible students, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
Design tailored lessons and/or curricula for students with modified educational requirements. Provide training to key stakeholders (e.g., general education teachers, paraprofessionals) to facilitate effective instruction delivery.
Maintain and update students' special education records, both digital and physical, including IEP documentation, progress reports, evaluations, and other pertinent records.
Ensure that all students receive services aligned with their IEPs and are making continuous progress towards their outlined goals.
Demonstrate expertise in the development of IEPs and a comprehensive understanding of parental rights within the IEP process.
Assist in coordinating special education services with external agencies.
Collaborate with general education colleagues to adapt, differentiate, and modify instructional materials to best support student needs through co-teaching, push-in, pull-out, small group, and one-on-one support, promoting meaningful inclusion.
Support staff and educators in implementing special education programs and services.
Facilitate the creation and execution of action plans aimed at achieving specific objectives related to special education.
Qualifications:
Mild/Moderate Special Education Credential - California Required
Experience in Special Education - 1 year preferred
Provide direct in-person services to students
Ability to establish rapport with colleagues.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Positive and collaborative attitude.
Knowledge of and ability to apply Special Education laws and policies.
Commitment to working with a diverse range of students (age, race, ethnicity, etc.)
Proficient technological skills
Ability to complete assigned tasks independently
Effective communication across all organizational levels
Demonstrate sound judgment in prioritizing tasks
