The Creative Arts and Education Facilitator is responsible for crafting and delivering stimulating lessons in the fields of art, science, and culinary arts to ignite student imagination and inquisitiveness. This position involves designing interactive activities that merge artistic creativity, scientific inquiry, and cooking skills. The Facilitator is dedicated to maintaining a welcoming, inclusive, and secure learning environment while evaluating student development and providing constructive feedback to foster their advancement.
Compensation: $14.35 per hour
REQUIREMENTS:
- Must be at least 21 years of age and possess a valid commercial driver's license or be able to obtain one within 30 days.
- Proven ability to instruct a diverse range of educational activities.
- Must excel in a collaborative environment and be a supportive team member.
- Basic computer skills are advantageous but not mandatory.
- Proficiency in reading, writing, and communicating in English is essential.
- Ability to engage and connect effectively with individuals.
- Must possess or be able to obtain CPR/First Aid certification within the first 30 days of employment.
- Comply with all health and safety standards as mandated by relevant authorities.
- Complete all necessary training and requirements for Protecting the Mission.
- Adhere to an educational philosophy aligned with that of the organization.
- Demonstrated capability to work with children, parents, and staff in leadership, counseling, and educational roles, including but not limited to:
- Ability to relate joyfully and sensitively to children of various ages.
- Awareness of individual children's needs.
- Consistent application of positive discipline techniques.
- Calmly manage security and crisis situations.
- Seek and utilize supervision effectively.
- Maintain a professional demeanor and approach to problem-solving.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
As this role directly supports essential programs and services, the Creative Arts and Education Facilitator must be fully committed to advancing the organization's mission through the following functions:
- Execute specific responsibilities for programs in areas such as the library, game room, educational spaces, computer lab, child care, climbing wall, events, and day camps.
- Collaborate with other staff members to ensure successful program delivery and events.
- Prepare for programs and events related to Arts and Education.
- Verify membership status using the designated system.
- Adhere to a professional dress code at all times, which may include activity-appropriate attire.
- Provide information and respond to inquiries regarding available programs.
- Consistently enforce and adhere to facility rules and regulations.
- Exhibit integrity, enthusiasm, and sound moral judgment.
- Work professionally with volunteers.
- Assist in emergency situations or accidents as needed.
- Address disputes with participants and students in a professional manner.
- Ensure a safe working environment and report any facility-related issues to the appropriate supervisor.
- Follow and ensure compliance with organizational policies and procedures.
- Uphold the established Code of Ethics for the organization.
- Recognize the spiritual needs of individuals, referring them to appropriate personnel when necessary.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this position, employees are regularly required to walk, stand, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and reach with hands and arms continuously. Employees must regularly lift and/or move up to 20 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. Specific vision abilities required include close vision, distance vision, color vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Proficiency in operating a telephone, desktop or laptop computer, and the ability to access and produce information from a computer, as well as understanding written information, is essential.
