Position Overview

Salary: $75k-$85k based on experience

Role: Entry Level Industrial/Mechanical Engineer

Key Responsibilities
  • Comply with all applicable safety and quality standards established by the organization.
  • Conduct cycle time analyses, aiming to minimize peak cycle times and enhance line balancing across production lines.
  • Establish and uphold a kanban system to regulate inventory flow at part washing stations.
  • Streamline raw material movement to production lines to eliminate unnecessary handling.
  • Assist in the development and refinement of standard operating procedures for the production team, collaborating with the training coordinator for effective implementation.
  • Examine production metrics, particularly focusing on OEE losses, to pinpoint trends and areas needing improvement.
  • Collaborate within a cross-functional team to execute projects aligned with the primary responsibilities outlined, and perform cost-benefit analyses to substantiate expenditures.
  • Utilize workforce and capacity data to oversee labor forecasting and budgeting for the production unit.
  • Adhere to all departmental protocols and procedures.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering discipline is required, with a preference for industrial or mechanical engineering.
  • Must prioritize safety and possess a keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds is necessary.
  • Proficient computer skills are essential.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, is required.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment is necessary.
