Job Summary:

The Guest Room Service Technician will complete general maintenance requests submitted by guests and employees. Responsibilities include performing various work order tasks and preventative maintenance on spaces and equipment.

Responsibilities:

  • Completes maintenance requests submitted by guests or employees for general maintenance issues within the hotel
  • Interacts with guests or employees to ensure maintenance request is completed successfully
  • Performs preventative maintenance and maintains logs in an organized manner
  • Identifies problems, initiates work orders, accomplishes assigned work orders, and does all necessary repairs relating to their expertise
  • Performs duty rounds by using daily checklists, reports on, and corrects noted problems
  • Maintains a safe, clean, and efficient work space and is responsible for maintaining inventory of tools in use
  • Works in a safe manner, including proper use of PPE and following safety protocols
  • Responsible for correct use of maintenance request system
  • Assists with maintenance requests for other trades, as needed

Qualifications:

  • One year experience in maintenance required, such as hotels, home repair, hospitals, office repair, or apartment complex repairs
  • Skilled with using hand, power, and diagnostic tools
  • Must have experience in the following: minor wallpaper and vinyl repair, repair and paint surfaces, repair tile and grout, refinishing woodwork
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics preferred
  • Must be able to communicate both written and verbally in English due to guest contact
  • Valid Texas Driver's License preferred
