Job Overview

The Peel Compton Foundation, a leading nonprofit organization in Bentonville, AR, is seeking a highly motivated Trail Crew Intern to join the Coler Crew. As a trail enthusiast with a passion for conservation, you will be responsible for maintaining the trails at the Coler Mountain Bike Preserve.

Detailed Job Description:
As a Trail Crew Intern, your primary responsibilities will include:
  • Trail maintenance – by hand and by machine
  • Operate powered equipment such as mowers, leaf blowers, chainsaws, electric clippers, rubber track dump carriers, trail compactors, and sanitation equipment
  • Machine maintenance and routine trail checks
  • Remove debris, litter, and pet waste from the trails
  • Provide excellent customer service to Coler campground guests and daily visitors

Requirements:
This role requires:
  • A flexible work schedule to meet the needs of the preserve
  • A strong desire to work outdoors in extreme temperatures
  • Intermediate mountain bike riding skills
  • Ability to be on feet all day in a physically demanding work setting

Compensation:
This full-time position comes with an estimated annual salary of $42,000, offering competitive benefits and opportunities for growth within the organization.
