Job Description: As a Registered Nurse in the Pediatric Emergency Department, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care, assessing patient needs, and developing individualized plans of care. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions between departments and participate in quality improvement initiatives to drive excellence in patient care. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build rapport with patients, families, and colleagues, while your attention to detail and organizational skills will allow you to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care, including assessing patient needs, developing individualized plans of care, and implementing interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure seamless transitions between departments and coordinate patient care.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to the development of departmental policies and procedures.

Requirements:

  • A valid South Carolina nursing license.
  • An Associate degree in Nursing or Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
  • At least one year of experience as a Registered Nurse, preferably in a pediatric emergency setting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to lift 50 pounds and push/pull up to 200 pounds.
