Key Responsibilities:


The Manufacturing Team Leader will oversee and inspire the production workforce to surpass targets and objectives. This role involves monitoring daily production operations to ensure efficiency goals are achieved, safety protocols are adhered to, and high-quality products are delivered on time to meet customer demands.

This position includes direct supervision of hourly staff across various operational areas of the facility.

Plan and manage production performance in alignment with operational targets based on machine capabilities, workforce skills, and business forecasts.

Ensure compliance with established quality and production standards set by customers.

Actively engage in and lead initiatives related to plant safety, workplace organization, and continuous improvement methodologies.

Ensure all necessary documentation, schedules, and work orders are completed accurately.

Job Purpose:
To plan, organize, execute, and lead all designated areas within the manufacturing facility.

Accountable for achieving safety, quality, delivery, production, cost, and communication objectives.

Meet production timelines within budgetary constraints.

Ensure effective training and development of team members.

Essential Duties:
Address mechanical, operational, and technical downtime challenges within the department.

Train, motivate, and mentor team members.

Conduct training sessions for both new hires and existing staff.

Supervise daily operations to ensure safety, quality, and productivity standards are met.

Enhance production throughput while collaborating with management to optimize labor costs.

Support on-the-job assignments and continuous improvement initiatives.

Ensure adherence to company policies, safety regulations, quality procedures, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs).

Foster a positive work environment among team members.

Maintain all required logs and documentation while following safety protocols.

Other responsibilities as assigned.

Qualifications:
A four-year degree is preferred, or equivalent relevant experience.

Experience in the Blown Film Industry is advantageous, though any background in extrusion or printing is beneficial.

Prior experience with Lean, Six Sigma, or other continuous improvement methodologies is a plus.

Experience with troubleshooting processes and methodologies such as 5 Why or 8D is advantageous.

Technical training in mechanical or electrical fields is beneficial.

Industrial Safety Training is a plus.

A minimum of 3+ years in a supervisory capacity with a strong background in blown film or related operations.

Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment is preferred.

Ability to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic setting with strong problem-solving skills.

Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.

Results-driven with effective decision-making capabilities.

Strong commitment to training, coaching, and developing team members.

Flexibility to work various shifts as required.

Mechanical aptitude for troubleshooting issues.

Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact professionally with all organizational levels.

Demonstrated leadership and interpersonal skills.
