Job Description:

As a Computed Tomography Technologist at HexaQuEST Health, Inc., you will play a vital role in assisting in diagnosis and treatment by performing CT procedures and related techniques. Your expertise will be essential in producing high-quality images for interpretation by licensed practitioners.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate a CT scanner to obtain images used in the diagnosis and treatment of patient pathologies.
  • Use knowledge of imaging techniques and cross-sectional anatomy to create high-quality images.
  • Modify technical settings and adjust scanning parameters to enhance images and minimize unnecessary exposure.
  • Perform routine quality inspections and quality control maintenance on the scanner.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA) accredited Radiology program or equivalent.
  • American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification.
  • American Heart Association BLS certification within 60 days of hire.
  • Two years of radiology experience as a registered technologist.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • ARRT CT registry eligible.
  • One year post-graduation experience with trauma Radiology.

Working Conditions:

  • May involve working for extended periods, requiring sitting, walking, or standing for eight or more hours daily.
  • May necessitate working beyond a standard 40-hour workweek, including weekends and after-hours shifts.
  • On-call work may be required to respond to organizational and patient needs promptly.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds of weight (patient, assist with bedside needs, etc.).
  • Ability to use upper body strength (CPR, physically restrain patient, etc.).

Exposures:

  • May involve exposure to bloodborne pathogens, radiation, and various chemicals and medications used in healthcare settings.
