The Culinary Specialist is responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of food items, including meats, seafood, vegetables, and soups, while ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation. This role also involves food preparation and garnishing, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation at the workstation, and performing clean-up duties at the end of each shift.

SCHEDULE
This is a part-time, hourly, non-exempt role. Work hours may vary weekly, and schedules are not fixed or guaranteed, typically including evenings and weekends.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Demonstrate punctuality, a strong work ethic, and a commitment to excellence.
- Exhibit reliability, responsibility, and honesty while supporting the team.
- Adhere to all safety protocols, including personal hygiene, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation standards.
- Maintain handwashing practices throughout the shift, especially between food preparations.
- Ensure all food meets safety, quality, and presentation standards.
- Cook all items promptly and to the appropriate temperature.
- Keep the workstation clean, organized, and efficient, cleaning as you go.
- Handle all kitchen utensils and equipment with care to minimize breakage.
- Set up and dismantle the workstation daily, ensuring adequate prep levels for subsequent shifts.
- Assist with food preparation during slower periods as required.
- Stay informed by reading notices for back-of-house team members and attending team meetings.
- Be open to constructive feedback and willing to be coached or mentored.
- Be receptive to cross-training in various kitchen roles as needed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned based on business needs.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS
- At least 1 year of experience as a line cook in a high-volume, full-service restaurant.
- Ability to stand and maintain mobility for extended periods, up to 5 hours.
- Capability to reach, bend, stoop, and frequently lift items weighing up to 50 pounds.
COMPENSATION
$23.00 per hour
