About the Role

The Logistics Analyst is responsible for enforcing logistic compliance requirements and managing exceptions for supply chain at all Distribution Centers (DCs), cross-docks, plant shipping floors. As a key contact, this expert provides logistical support to fulfill supply chain services to Pelican customers, working closely with logistics leadership to maintain relationships.

Key Responsibilities
  1. This role will collaborate with the Director of Logistics to develop and execute a strategy for global spend analytics.
  2. Create and implement compliance requirement documentation related to loading, consolidation, labeling, and outbound shipments, ensuring alignment with Pelican customer needs.
  3. Conduct thorough analysis of the supply chain process, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement and cost savings.
  4. Develop and implement cost-saving initiatives through data-driven analysis and benchmarking.
  5. Prepare and present Cost-Spend Analysis reports to Executive Leadership, highlighting key findings and recommendations.
  6. Evaluate and refine logistics policies and procedures based on analytical insights.
  7. Proactively research and address potential supply chain issues.
  8. Analyze and resolve claims and retail compliance chargebacks.
  9. Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure process efficiency and effectiveness.
  10. Develop and implement strategies to improve process efficiency and reduce costs.
  11. Analyze vendor-submitted costs and compare against industry benchmarks.
  12. Monitor and analyze budget spend versus actual spend, identifying areas for improvement.
  13. Collaborate with stakeholders to develop and implement reports related to DC and transportation compliance.
  14. Identify and propose cost-effective solutions to resolve compliance exceptions.
  15. Work with stakeholders to develop service level requirements for distribution service providers, 3PLs related to compliance.
  16. Support the yearly Planning and Budgeting process and Ops Conference reporting.
  17. Complete additional duties as assigned by management.
