Scaffold Foreman

Job Summary

As a Scaffold Foreman at Brown & Root, you will oversee the construction of wooden structures, including scaffolding, forms, and temporary shelters. Your expertise will ensure the safe and efficient completion of projects.

Responsibilities

• Examine blueprints and specifications to determine structure dimensions.
• Inspect base surfaces for obstructions and load, transport, and unload materials.
• Measure and mark cutting lines on materials using square, measuring tape, and ruler.
• Assemble scaffolding, including handrails, mid rails, and planks, to job specifications.
• Brace forms in place with timbers, tie rods, and anchor bolts.
• Secure scaffolding to permanent structures by tying.
• Erect scaffolding for buildings and other structures, installing ladders, handrails, walkways, platforms, and gangways.
• Set and brace anchor bolts.
• Perform minor maintenance or cleaning activities on tools and equipment.
• Ensure compliance with safety and project rules.

Requirements

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required, with previous experience in the field or related area. Knowledge of commonly-used concepts, practices, and procedures within the field. Relies on instructions and pre-established guidelines to perform job functions.
