Job Summary


We are seeking a skilled Tow Truck Driver to join our team at Wilbert's Inc. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment and provide exceptional customer service.



About the Role


As a Tow Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating a rollback tow truck to safely and efficiently retrieve vehicles from various locations around Western NY. You will interact with customers to provide outstanding service throughout the vehicle recovery process.



Duties and Responsibilities



  • Operate a tow truck to ensure safe vehicle recovery on a daily basis.
  • Adhere to local, state, and federal vehicle safety traffic laws and DOT regulations.
  • Inspect tow trucks according to the Pre-trip Checklist and report any discrepancies to management.
  • Maintain a clean and professional appearance while working.
  • Take direction from the Contact Center and CSR II to optimize time and company resources for excellent customer service.
  • Use personal cellular devices for communication with customers and coworkers.
  • Complete necessary paperwork as outlined in the standard operating procedures.
  • Inspect all vehicles being retrieved to company standards.
  • Conduct vehicle purchasing transactions and manage cash handling responsibilities.
  • Follow company safety policies and procedures while operating equipment.
  • Utilize software for vehicle recoveries and safe vehicle management.
  • Provide top-notch customer service by representing the company to customers.


Requirements


To excel in this role, you must have:



Education and Experience


A high school diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience is required. Prior experience or knowledge in the automotive industry is beneficial.



Certifications and Licenses


A valid driver's license is mandatory.



Physical Demands


This position requires regular standing, walking, using hands, and talking or hearing. Long periods of standing are expected. Climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling may also be required. Lifting and moving up to 50 pounds is frequent, and lifting up to 100 pounds occasionally.



Work Environment


You will work in a smoke-free environment, exposed to moving mechanical parts, fumes, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions.



Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year
