Job Summary
Cath Lab CV Rad Technologist at Norman Regional Health System is responsible for preparing equipment, assessing patient conditions, and maintaining a sterile environment during cardiovascular procedures.

This role involves collaboration with a team of cardiologists and participates in the orientation of new staff members. Key qualifications include a degree in Radiologic or Cardiovascular Technology, relevant certifications, and experience in a procedural area like the Cath Lab.

We are excited about our upcoming move to our new state-of-the-art Critical Care Tower, which will feature three Cath Lab suites, one Electrophysiology suite, one Hybrid suite, two treatment rooms, and seventeen Same Day Surgery rooms. Our team works closely with nine cardiologists and two electrophysiologists to provide exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities
- Prepares equipment before and during procedures.
- Identifies and assesses patient condition. Prepares, positions, and provides patient care.
- Establishes and maintains a sterile environment.

Professional Practice
- Serves as preceptor for new hires and radiology students, participating in the orientation of new staff.
- Utilizes downtime effectively by stocking rooms, checking equipment, and other delegated tasks assigned by the Charge person or manager.
- Maintains strong professional working relationships with physicians and leadership to facilitate excellent patient care.

Qualifications
- Complete Cath Lab RT Orientation within 6 months.
- Achieve all competencies listed in department policy within 6 months.

Education and Experience
- Completion of a 24-month formal program or military program in Radiologic Technology with eligibility and/or current registration from the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists and/or RCIS certification.
- Previous Procedural Area experience preferred.

Licensure and Certifications
- American Registry of Radiologic Technology Registered and/or RCIS certification, with Cardiovascular (CV), (CI), and/or (VI) certification preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) training required during orientation prior to providing patient care; Current BLS is required to be maintained through re-training for the duration of employment. ACLS training must be achieved within 6 months of hire and maintained throughout employment.

Salary Information
$27.84-$45.46 per hour, based on previous work experience.
