Job Summary

Essentia Health is seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team in the Operating Room. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in providing technical support to our surgical team, ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist surgeons and anesthesiologists during surgical procedures, maintaining a sterile environment and handling instruments and equipment.
  • Prepare and maintain operating room equipment, instruments, and supplies, ensuring they are in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure smooth and efficient surgical procedures.
  • Participate in pre-operative and post-operative patient care, providing emotional support and assistance as needed.
  • Maintain accurate records and reports, adhering to regulatory and accreditation standards.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program or equivalent experience.
  • Current certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) or Certified Surgical Assistant (CSA).
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, prioritizing tasks and managing multiple responsibilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with the surgical team.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive patient information.

Working Conditions
