Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Aircraft Quality Control Inspector to join our team at Airborne Maintenance & Engineering Services. As a key member of our quality assurance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety in our aircraft maintenance operations.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Perform technical inspections of aircraft, parts, systems, and subsystems to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
  2. Conduct quality and safety inspections of on-site equipment and tooling to ensure they meet approved standards.
  3. Inspect job progress, procedures, and maintenance forms to ensure compliance with approved methods, data, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  4. Identify and document aircraft and aircraft parts discrepancies clearly and effectively.
  5. Collaborate with the Director of Training or Quality Leadership to complete assigned training and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Requirements
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Valid Airframe and Powerplant license.
  • Exceptional communication skills, written and verbal.
  • Minimum of five (5) years heavy service experience.
  • Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office and computer skills.
  • Basic knowledge of the FAA FARs.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, instructions, blueprints, and drawings.
  • Ability to use precision measuring tools and devices with accuracy.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Non-Destructive Testing Experience (NDT) in UT, Dye Pen, and ET.
  • Documented formal Composite Training.
  • Conformity and First Article Inspection Experience.
  • Calibration Lab Experience.
  • Ability to work in confined and restrictive spaces.
  • Understanding of FAA Forms, such as FAA Form 337.
  • Intermediate level skill with Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook) and Windows operating systems.
Physical Requirements and Environmental Conditions
  1. Ability to sit, stand, bend, crouch, kneel, and walk for extended periods.
  2. Ability to climb and work from ladders, work stands, and other heights.
  3. Ability to work with one or both hands extended overhead.
  4. Correctable 2020 vision.
  5. Ability to hear at conversational level.
  6. Ability to lift 25 pounds.
  7. Ability to handle and maintain control of small parts and operate hand tools.
