Position Overview
Danfoss is seeking a motivated and innovative student to take on the role of Aero-Thermal Engineering Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of thermal dynamics.
This internship requires a commitment of 30 hours per week and can be conducted either remotely or in person.
Key ResponsibilitiesThe responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Develop aerodynamic designs for centrifugal compressors.
- Create air-solid models based on conceptual designs of compressors.
- Conduct high-fidelity computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling to evaluate compressor performance.
- Analyze and compare predicted results with laboratory test data.
- Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the function manager.

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on thermal dynamics preferred.
- Availability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week for a duration of at least 6 months.
- Familiarity with CAD software.
- Experience with MATLAB or Python is advantageous.
- Proficient in CFD software such as ANSYS CFX or Fluent.
- Strong communication skills.
