Position Overview

Danfoss is seeking a motivated and innovative student to take on the role of Aero-Thermal Engineering Intern. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the field of thermal dynamics.

This internship requires a commitment of 30 hours per week and can be conducted either remotely or in person.

Key Responsibilities

The responsibilities associated with this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Develop aerodynamic designs for centrifugal compressors.
  • Create air-solid models based on conceptual designs of compressors.
  • Conduct high-fidelity computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modeling to evaluate compressor performance.
  • Analyze and compare predicted results with laboratory test data.
  • Assist with additional tasks as assigned by the function manager.
Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

  • Currently enrolled in a bachelor's or master's degree program in Mechanical Engineering, with a focus on thermal dynamics preferred.
  • Availability to work a minimum of 30 hours per week for a duration of at least 6 months.
  • Familiarity with CAD software.
  • Experience with MATLAB or Python is advantageous.
  • Proficient in CFD software such as ANSYS CFX or Fluent.
  • Strong communication skills.
