Key Responsibilities:

  • Counseling and Support: Provide individual and group counseling sessions to students with personal and psychological issues that affect their performance, socialization, and behavior in school.
  • Case Management: Develop and implement treatment plans, workshops, and prevention programs to address student needs and promote academic success.
  • Collaboration with Teachers and Staff: Communicate with teachers and staff to identify causes of student behaviors and develop strategies to support student success.

  • Professional Development: Develop and implement professional development training for educational staff and parents to promote comprehensive school social work services.

  • Current License and Certification: Current license and certification to practice social work in the state of New York is required.
