Job Overview:
Under general oversight, the Environmental Services Associate is responsible for the cleanliness and upkeep of designated areas within the medical facility, ensuring a tidy, hygienic, and secure environment.

Key Responsibilities:

- Adheres to KP Policies & Procedures, Principles of Responsibilities, and relevant state, federal, and local regulations.
- Cleans and sanitizes equipment, surgical zones, storage spaces, furnishings, and patient beds.
- Responds to spills and flooded areas promptly.
- Conducts deep cleaning and sanitization of rooms, mattresses, vents, and restrooms.
- Operates various electrical cleaning machinery.
- Strips, cleans, and polishes floor and wall surfaces; vacuums carpeted areas.
- Prepares cleaning solutions by diluting as necessary.
- Collects and disposes of waste, including bio-hazardous materials, in accordance with established Policies & Procedures, ensuring secure storage of bio-hazardous waste.
- Collaborates with other departments to coordinate housekeeping tasks.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.

Preferred Qualifications:
One (1) year of experience in an environmental services role within an acute care setting is preferred.
Experience in Environmental Services in a Medical Center environment is preferred.
High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
