As a Ski Lift Attendant, you will play a vital role in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience for our guests. Your primary responsibility will be to assist guests in boarding and disembarking from chair lifts, while also conducting thorough inspections and tests before the lifts open for operation.

We seek individuals who are energetic, sociable, and capable of engaging with guests in a warm and entertaining manner. Being customer-oriented is essential, as maintaining guest satisfaction is a key aspect of this position.

Responsibilities:


Under the guidance of the Lift Operations Supervisor or designated personnel, you will operate the assigned lift following established protocols and verbal or written instructions to ensure safe and efficient uphill transportation for both guests and staff.


Your duties will also include regularly shoveling and raking snow and ice to keep ramps, corrals, and work areas in optimal condition.


Prior to the commencement of operations, you will assist in inspecting the lift, which involves tasks such as emptying trash receptacles, consistently monitoring the status of information boards, checking tissue dispensers, and ensuring the functionality of switches, chairs, grips, as well as maintaining ramps and corrals.

Familiarity with the resort layout (including lifts and trails) and understanding the roles of other departments will be crucial. You will be expected to provide courteous assistance and advice to guests as necessary.

It is important to become well-acquainted with the resort's policies, safety regulations, and guest service standards.

Communicating issues to supervisors while demonstrating initiative in addressing routine matters and emergencies is essential.


Remain attentive to the needs of both the equipment and guests, responding to those needs safely while upholding quality service.


Contribute to team efforts by engaging in job sharing, taking responsibility for the cleanliness of the resort and the safety of guests and staff; participating in safety meetings; accepting diverse assignments; and maintaining a positive and friendly demeanor in all interactions.

Strive to meet service level objectives and departmental goals as outlined by your immediate supervisor.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, candidates must be able to perform each essential duty effectively.


A high school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required; alternatively, one to three months of related experience and/or training, or a combination of education and experience that meets these criteria.
