As a vital member of the landscaping team, you will contribute to the creation and upkeep of beautiful park landscapes. Your role involves various tasks including mowing, equipment maintenance, watering, and the care of plants and trees.
Key Responsibilities:
- Utilize power tools such as blowers, mowers, and trimmers, along with hand tools like pruners and shovels. Report any performance issues or safety hazards to your supervisor.
- Conduct routine maintenance on equipment, ensuring they are properly lubricated and fueled; assist in unloading and organizing supplies.
- Engage in the installation and removal of plants, mulch, and trees; perform pruning and trimming as necessary.
- Water, fertilize, and care for flowers; manage weeds and maintain flower beds.
- Support new construction projects and assist with irrigation systems.
- Deliver exceptional guest service in line with Kings Island standards, including engaging with visitors, addressing inquiries, and providing guidance.
- Ensure cleanliness and safety in your designated work area, adhering to safety protocols and reporting any irregularities.
- Be available for scheduling needs, including evenings, weekends, and holidays to support operational demands.
- Comply with attendance policies as outlined by Kings Island.
- Follow Kings Island's conduct guidelines, including grooming and attire standards.
- Additional responsibilities may be assigned as needed.
Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Possession of a valid state or provincial driver's license is required.
- Availability to work nights, weekends, and holidays as necessary.
- Ability to pass a mandatory drug screening, in accordance with company policy.
- Must be able to pass a background check if 18 years or older, which may encompass credit, criminal history, driving records, previous employment, education, and personal references, in line with company policy.
