Salary and Benefits
As a Heat Treatment Specialist at Bodycote, you can expect a competitive starting wage of $21.00 - $24.00 per hour, plus shift differential for off shifts. Job Description
This is an active role that includes loading and unloading incoming components while learning to operate heat treatment furnaces. Your responsibilities will include:
- Controlling and monitoring heat treat furnaces while following written procedures on shop orders.
- Preparing work for processing; loading and unloading furnaces, bins, fixtures, baskets, etc.
- Bringing any unusual problem or irregularity to the attention of the supervisor.
- Practicing and promoting safety and good housekeeping.
Required Skills and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you must satisfy ITAR compliance requirements, therefore you must be a U.S. Citizen or Permanent Resident Card Holder. You should have a high school diploma or equivalent, and a minimum of six months' experience in heat treating is preferred but not required. You may be required to work overtime or any shift, including weekends, and may need to obtain and maintain forklift operation certification. Finally, you must demonstrate the ability to read, write, and communicate in the English language.
