CV Resources is partnering with a local manufacturing institution to find a skilled Controller to lead their financial management and operations. The ideal candidate will oversee the company's accounting and finance functions, ensuring accurate financial reporting and compliance with local and international regulations. This role requires a strong leader who can manage a team of 3 and drive process improvement initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Financial Reporting:
    • Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
    • Ensure timely and accurate financial reporting to management and external stakeholders.
    • Prepare and file tax returns and other regulatory filings.
  • Accounting Operations:
    • Oversee the general ledger and ensure the accuracy and completeness of accounting records.
    • Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
    • Reconcile bank accounts and credit card statements.
    • Supervise the payroll process and ensure compliance with employment laws.
  • Financial Analysis:
    • Prepare financial forecasts and budgets.
    • Analyze financial data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
    • Provide financial insights and recommendations to management.
  • Team Management:
    • Lead a team of 3 accounting staff.
    • Hire, train, and develop team members.
    • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide feedback.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Identify opportunities to streamline and improve financial processes.
    • Implement new systems and procedures to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
    • Work with other departments to improve overall business operations.
  • Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with local, state, federal, and international accounting standards and regulations.
    • Maintain adequate internal controls to safeguard company assets.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting or finance, with experience in a manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
  • Experience with manual accounting processes and process improvement initiatives.
  • Proficiency in a large ERP or MRP (e.g., Sage, MS Dynamics, Syspro).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Additional Notes:
  • The Controller will work in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to changing priorities.
  • The position requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to excellence.
  • The Controller will report directly to the President and will be a key member of the senior leadership team.
