Position Overview:

All Native Group is looking for a dedicated Custodial Technician to support our Custodial Services by maintaining cleanliness across various facilities. The selected candidate will receive task assignments from the Custodial Supervisor or Management and is expected to work autonomously, adhering to established protocols. Training will be provided in line with company and NASA/MSFC policies. Performance will be assessed through inspections to ensure compliance with contract standards and the overall condition of the assigned facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Employ cleaning agents to uphold sanitary and visual standards in restrooms, ensuring commodes and fixtures are sanitized, and paper products are replenished.
  • Dust, clean, and polish furniture and fixtures; maintain blinds, glass surfaces, walls, and mirrors.
  • Wash walls and glass doors, including entrance areas.
  • Utilize a ladder to replace fluorescent light bulbs as needed.
  • Perform floor maintenance including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, and polishing.
  • Vacuum carpeted areas using appropriate equipment.
  • Collect and dispose of waste, manage recycling, and maintain cleanliness in waste disposal areas.
  • Inspect the exterior of the building for debris and maintain cleanliness around the premises.
  • Operate custodial equipment and vehicles as required for job functions.
  • Communicate effectively with facility personnel.
  • Identify and report maintenance and cleanliness issues, including safety hazards.
  • Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and ensure restocking as necessary.
  • May require driving a company vehicle, necessitating a valid state driver's license.
  • Participate in specialized cleaning tasks as assigned.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Qualifications:

  • Must pass a drug screening and security background check.
  • A high school diploma or GED is required, or equivalent experience demonstrating relevant skills.
  • A valid driver's license and proof of vehicle registration and insurance are necessary.
  • Ability to follow instructions and manage custodial supplies and equipment responsibly.
  • Knowledge of cleaning products, techniques, and equipment.
  • Capability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items.
  • Ability to work independently and interact courteously with clients and colleagues.
  • Basic literacy skills are required, along with some janitorial experience.

Physical Requirements:

This role demands physical stamina, including the ability to climb ladders, lift up to 25 pounds, and perform tasks that require bending and reaching. The majority of work will be indoors, with some outdoor responsibilities.

Work Schedule:

This is a full-time position with typical hours from Monday to Friday. Flexibility for evening and weekend work may be required based on operational needs.

Travel Requirements:

Local travel may be necessary during business hours, with occasional overnight travel expected.

Security Clearance:

Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance.
