Pharmacist - Inpatient Operations (PRN/Wage)

This is a wage (PRN) position working 1-2 shifts per week as needed. Additional hours may be available depending on department needs.
Key Responsibilities- Ensure the safe and effective use of medications by providing optimal drug product selection, dosage regimen design, effective administration, and drug therapy monitoring services in the Medical Center.
- Enter physician orders into the appropriate computer system.
- Process physician's orders.
- Check and review pharmacy assistant/technician's preparation of orders.
- Provide drug information to customers inside and outside of the Medical Center.
- Practice pharmacy in accordance with regulations.
- Bachelor's in Pharmacy or Pharm. D. Degree required.
- No experience required.
- Commonwealth of Virginia State Board of Pharmacy License required. American Heart Association (AHA) Health Care Provider BLS certification required.
Job requires standing for prolonged periods. Proficient communicative, auditory and visual skills; Attention to detail and ability to write legibly; Ability to lift/push/pull.
