Implement nursing interventions effectively and follow through on care plans.
Demonstrate awareness of age-specific concerns through appropriate nursing interventions and documentation as guided by the Charge Nurse or Physicians.
Utilize opportunities for health education for patients, families, and others, employing suitable teaching methods tailored to developmental stages and age-related factors, as evidenced by documentation in the patient's medical record.
Participate positively in the orientation of new staff members, sharing knowledge and experiences while providing guidance as needed.
Ensure all documentation and files are complete and current at all times.
Provide patient education under the supervision of an RN or Physician.
Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by relevant accreditation bodies and follow emergency protocols as per clinic policy.
Educational Requirements:
Graduate from an accredited LPN program with knowledge of infection control practices.
Awareness of the physical and general characteristics of various age groups as observed by the Nurse Manager.
Certifications:
Current Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred for specific roles.
Work Experience:
Preferred one (1) year of clinical experience.
Physical and Working Conditions:
This role involves frequent walking, sitting, and standing, as well as regular communication with patients and team members.
Physical demands include lifting and moving patients, carrying equipment, and performing tasks that may require significant physical effort.
Work primarily occurs indoors in climate-controlled environments, with potential exposure to blood and bodily fluids necessitating the use of personal protective equipment.
Personal Protective Equipment:
High exposure to infectious materials requires adherence to safety protocols, including the use of gloves, masks, gowns, and goggles as appropriate.
