Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our team at Dakota Supply Group. As a CDL Class A Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for delivering products to customers and jobsites, loading and unloading materials, and ensuring the safe transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Load delivery truck in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to company policies and DOT standards.
  • Communicate with warehouse associates to ensure accurate loading and unloading of products.
  • Inspect truck and trailer regularly to ensure they are in good working order.
  • Drive to various customer locations, typically within 150 miles of the branch location.
  • Unload materials at customers' places of business and/or warehouses, following customer instructions.
  • Stay compliant with DOT/FMCSA and OSHA regulations, including completion of training activities as required by DSG policy and/or regulatory authorities.
  • Adhere to DSG's safety policy and vehicle safety program.
  • Maintain a good driving record.
  • Assist in all aspects of warehouse operations when not out on delivery, including accurately pulling product to fill orders, packing and labeling orders, operating a forklift, and using a computer and RF scanner to check on product status.
Requirements
  • A valid Class A CDL with current medical card.
  • Basic product and warehouse/delivery knowledge, typically acquired in one to three years of applicable experience.
  • Attention to detail and ability to plan, prioritize, and organize work effectively.
  • Safety training on material handling and forklift driving.
  • Strong interpersonal, customer service, and communication skills.
  • A physical ability to lift, push, pull, or move items weighing 70-325lbs. with the aid of a mechanical device or another person.
  • Prior computer knowledge, experience, and skills.
