Job Overview

Position: Financial EDI Analyst


We are seeking a skilled Financial EDI Analyst to provide Tier II support for end-users regarding EDI transactions utilizing the Accredited Standards Committee (ASC) X12 Healthcare. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional customer service abilities and critical thinking skills to effectively resolve issues.


Work Environment: This position is fully remote.


Compensation: The salary range for this role is between $110,000 and $120,000, contingent upon experience and performance in the technical interview. This position is W2 only; no C2C or 1099 arrangements are available.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver first-level support for EDI financial transactions and address system failures.
  • Ensure a high-quality customer service experience.
  • Monitor EDI transactions, troubleshoot errors, and resolve issues related to EDI processes and applications.
  • Support and maintain EDI transaction processing using various standards including ASC X12 Healthcare, Finance, Supply Chain, FHIR, NCPDP, JSON, and HL7 protocols.
  • Conduct application monitoring across platforms such as Mainframe, Windows/Linux Servers, and Cloud environments to ensure operational efficiency.
  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and trading partners, logging requests in ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
  • Manage the EDI team mailbox, respond to inquiries, and perform initial troubleshooting for production issues.
  • Prepare and provide regular incident and EDI transaction reports.
  • Document standard operating procedures and ensure compliance with data requirements.
  • Update customers on ticket statuses regularly until resolution.
  • Prioritize and organize tickets based on urgency.
  • Conduct Root Cause Analysis (RCA) following system outages and critical incidents.
  • Coordinate activities related to timely delivery, testing, and production deployments.
  • Engage in change management, disaster recovery, and production support operations.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree and a minimum of five years of relevant experience.
  • Proven experience with EDI financial systems.
  • Experience in mapping X12 documents.
  • Familiarity with 810 and 850 transaction types.
  • Preference for candidates with a business analyst background over a systems analyst background.
  • Ability to obtain necessary security clearance.
