Lead Painter

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Lead Painter to oversee painting projects, ensuring high-quality results and leading a team of painters.

• Leadership and Supervision:
  • Lead, mentor, and supervise a crew of painters, ensuring safety, efficiency, and quality in all tasks.
  • Assign tasks and manage daily workloads, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Train and coach team members on painting techniques, surface preparation, and equipment usage.
• Painting and Project Management:
  • Plan, coordinate, and execute painting projects, ensuring adherence to project specifications and timelines.
  • Perform surface preparation, including sanding, scraping, caulking, and filling cracks or holes as needed.
  • Apply paints, stains, varnishes, and other finishes to various surfaces using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
  • Conduct final inspections to ensure the quality of work and address any issues or touch-ups as needed.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including proper care and storage of materials and tools.
• Communication and Coordination:
  • Collaborate with project managers, contractors, and clients to understand project requirements and provide updates.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and successes with the team and supervisors.

Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of professional painting experience in a leadership role.
• Skills:
  • In-depth knowledge of various painting techniques, surface preparation, and materials.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team-building skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to work at heights, on ladders, scaffolding, and in various weather conditions.
• Ability to lift and move materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
