Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer to join our team at Tanqeeb. As an Electrical Engineer, you will be responsible for providing electrical engineering and design services to all activities and tenants for a broad range of facilities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide electrical engineering and design services to all activities and tenants for a broad range of facilities.
  • Represent the NAVFAC Regional Office in conferences with project stakeholders and collaborate with other engineering and architectural disciplines.
  • Actively engage on teams formed to improve processes or revise policies in any area of CI.
  • Pursue completion of training required by the CI Community Management Plan and the employee's Individual Development Plan (IDP).
Requirements
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • Must be determined suitable for federal employment.
  • Must participate in the direct deposit pay program.
  • New employees to the Department of the Navy will be required to successfully pass the E-Verify employment verification check.
  • Must obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty.
  • Must register as a Professional Engineer (PE) in a State, the District of Columbia, the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico, or a territory of the United States.
Education and Experience

A bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited school of engineering or a related field is required. A combination of education and experience may be considered in lieu of a degree. Professional registration or licensure as an Engineer Intern (EI), Engineer in Training (EIT), or licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) is also acceptable.

Additional Information

Relocation and recruitment incentives up to 25% may be authorized. The current workweek is Sunday through Thursday. Employees hired from continental U.S. will receive Sunday Premium Pay (computed at 25% of basic hourly rate, eight hours per week). Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees.

The Office of the Secretary of Defense (Personnel and Readiness) limits the number of Bahrain based DoD personnel accompanied tours. Dependent entry approval from Commander, U.S. Naval Forces Central Command is required for all accompanied tours prior to extending the final job offer and prior to issuing Permanent Change of Station (PCS) orders. Accompanied tours are not guaranteed. Tour will be 18 months unaccompanied for 24 months accompanied.
