Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Facilities Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Vortex Companies, LLC. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and organization of our facilities, ensuring that all equipment is in proper working order, and providing support to our fleet and safety operations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintenance and Cleaning: Maintain, clean, and organize facilities on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, including coordinating repairs and maintenance as needed.
  • Logistics and Inventory: Send and receive deliveries, manage inventory, and ensure that assigned equipment is in proper working order and available for use.
  • Support Services: Provide support to fleet, safety, and operations teams, including performing general housekeeping and cleaning of equipment and vehicles.
  • Waste Management: Responsible for waste disposal and maintaining recycling bins.
  • Inspections and Reporting: Conduct monthly inspections of fire extinguishers and fire protection systems, and report any issues or concerns to operations managers.
Requirements
  • Operational Skills: Must be able to operate a forklift and have a valid driver's license.
  • Experience and Education: 1-2 years of related experience preferred, with basic computer skills and ability to communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and company drivers.
  • Work Ethic and Attendance: Strong work ethic and attendance record, with flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
