Position Overview

Summary
The Wolfeboro Children's Center is in search of a dedicated Preschool Teacher to nurture and educate children aged 3 to 5 years. This full-time role offers up to 40 hours weekly along with comprehensive benefits. The successful candidate will report to the Group Coordinator of the Preschool Program. A competitive starting salary is available, with opportunities for advancement based on qualifications and experience, including a salary range of $16 to $19.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create a warm and inclusive environment that caters to the unique needs of each child and their family.
  • Engage in the planning and execution of daily educational activities.
  • Encourage children to develop independent self-help skills.
  • Ensure a clean, organized, and safe space that promotes optimal growth and development.
  • Work collaboratively with families, service providers, and support staff.
  • Participate in staff and planning meetings, using these opportunities to address concerns related to the Center's operations and child welfare.
  • Maintain respectful and cooperative relationships with colleagues, sharing information appropriately and addressing issues directly with the involved parties.
  • Adhere to all Center policies and comply with NH Childcare Licensing regulations.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated experience and enthusiasm for working with young children.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative team environment.
  • Understanding of child development principles.
  • Successful completion of a comprehensive background check and health screening.
  • Strong commitment to confidentiality.

Preferred Qualifications

  • NH State Teaching Credential.
  • Certification in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid.
  • Coursework in Early Childhood Education with a focus on child growth and development.
