Diesel Mechanic

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic - Fleet Maintenance Specialist to join our team at Holcim. As a key member of our maintenance department, you will be responsible for the repairs and maintenance of our ready mix fleet. This includes performing inspections, preventative and corrective repairs, and preparing daily/weekly operating, safety, and maintenance reports.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot equipment failures to ensure minimal downtime and optimal fleet performance.
• Perform engine diagnostics, hydraulic system repairs, and chassis/body repairs, as well as cutting, grinding, welding, and fabrication of equipment.
• Assist with supporting equipment breakdowns and perform field repairs as necessary.
• Commit to and support an interdependent zero-injury safety culture.

Requirements

• High School diploma or equivalent required; additional education or experience in hydraulic and electrical systems preferred.
• 2+ years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified herein.
• Class B CDL preferred; ASE T1-T8 certification and OEM/Mfg. designated training a plus.
• Ability to provide own tools necessary to perform the functions and requirements within the Maintenance Department.
