Senior Cloud Security Engineer Role

The Senior Cloud Security Engineer will design and maintain security controls for cloud-based systems and applications.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify security risks, develop strategies to mitigate threats, and ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Design, implement, and maintain security controls for cloud-based environments, including IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS solutions.
  2. Conduct security assessments and risk analyses to identify vulnerabilities and develop mitigation strategies.
  3. Implement and manage IAM solutions to control access to cloud resources and applications.
  4. Configure and monitor cloud security tools and services.
  5. Collaborate with development teams to integrate security best practices into the SDLC and DevOps processes.
  6. Stay up-to-date on emerging threats, vulnerabilities, and industry best practices related to cloud security.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of work experience and a bachelor's degree or equivalent years of experience.
  • Proven experience in cloud security architecture, design, and implementation, with expertise in major cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, encryption techniques, and secure communication protocols.
  • Hands-on experience with cloud security tools and services.
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of cybersecurity and cloud computing.
