Master Electrician

Job Summary:

Bob Evans Foods is seeking a skilled Master Electrician to join our team. As an Electrical Systems Specialist, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and installation of all electrical systems, including systems additions or modifications on a variety of plant equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Install and monitor performance of installed electrical equipment for hazards, adjustments, or replacements.
• Create, maintain, diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair a variety of equipment in the plant.
• Repair, install, replace, and test electrical circuits, equipment, and appliances using appropriate testing equipment and tools.
• Partner with machine operators on equipment troubleshooting automation needs to increase efficiency.
• Read and interpret electrical drawings and blueprints.
• Fabricate/weld parts as needed.
• Lead, train, and/or guide other electricians or qualified maintenance personnel in applicable procedures and techniques.
• Perform building, routine, and preventative maintenance, including repairs to facility equipment mechanical, electrical, plumbing, pneumatic, and/or hydraulic.
• Ensure proper care in the use and maintenance of both equipment and supplies.
• Promote continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED.
• Possession of a current State of Michigan Master Electrician certification, and maintain certification as required.
• Experience with Lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and 5S (including Kaizen and Gemba).

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to work in hot, humid, and/or cold manufacturing environments.
• Must be able to crouch, kneel, and stoop for prolonged periods of time.
• Must be able to climb ladders as needed.
