Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct client intake and assessments
- Provide legal advice and representation to clients before USCIS and the EOIR
- Review, prepare, and submit applications for various forms of relief
- Attend hearings at EOIR and local courts in Virginia
- Maintain effective communication with clients
- Interpret and analyze laws, rulings, and regulations
- Collaborate with staff to ensure timely delivery of services
- Draft legal briefs and memoranda
- Share knowledge and expertise with team members.
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA accredited institution
- Must be licensed to practice law in Virginia
- Strong oral and written communication abilities
- Capability to manage a high-volume workload effectively
- Excellent interpersonal skills to work with a diverse team
- Proficiency in Spanish or French is advantageous but not mandatory
Additional Information:
This is a full-time position with office hours from 9 AM to 5 PM, Monday through Friday. Compensation is competitive and commensurate with experience, with a minimum annual salary of $75,000.
