Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Long Term Acute Care/ICU team at Baylor Scott & White Continuing Care Hospital in Temple, TX. As a Registered Nurse, you will oversee patient care provided by the healthcare team using a professional practice model.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct detailed clinical assessments, prioritize patient and family needs, create, implement, and evaluate care plans.
  • Build relationships, manage discomfort, and stay professional in therapeutic connections with patients and families.
  • Help educate patients, families, nurses, and community members to empower them with knowledge for better healthcare choices.
  • Work with colleagues and community to create a care plan, delegate tasks carefully, and follow up promptly.
  • Use different strategies for problem-solving with patients, families, and staff, recognizing limitations and prioritizing safety, effectiveness, and efficiency in patient care planning and delivery.
Requirements
  • Grad of an Accredited Program in nursing.
  • Current and valid nursing license.
  • BLS certification or obtain within 30 days of starting in this role.
