Job Title: Lead Kafka Engineer

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Kafka Engineer to join our team at Syntricate Technologies.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will have extensive experience in designing, building, and maintaining large-scale Kafka clusters, as well as leading teams to achieve high-quality results.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and implement high-performance Kafka clusters, including configuration, security, and disaster recovery.
  • Lead teams to develop producer applications for Kafka, with a focus on cloud-native applications.
  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve complex Kafka issues, maintaining detailed documentation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement high-volume transaction systems.
  • Architect and capacity plan Kafka clusters, brokers, producers, consumers, and self-managed connectors on Confluent Platform and Confluent Cloud.
  • Monitor and optimize Kafka performance using tools like Prometheus, Grafana, Kafka Manager, and Confluent Control Center.
  • Automate day-to-day operations using Terraform.
Requirements
  • 5+ years of experience in Kafka Cluster design, development, and maintenance.
  • 2+ years of experience in leading teams and architecting Kafka solutions.
  • 3+ years of experience in Agile/Scrum Development & Management, Scaled Agile Framework, and Continuous Integration.
  • 2+ years of experience in monitoring technologies and automation tools.
