About the Role

We're seeking a highly skilled and experienced VLT Shift Manager to join our team at PENN Entertainment. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for supervising staff and managing the daily operations of a designated shift.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise staff and manage daily operations of a designated shift
  • Support and administer operational goals and monitor performance and profit objectives
  • Create effective and efficient schedules while maintaining labor costs and meeting staffing objectives
  • Assist in budget process and provide recommendations to ensure compliance with departmental budget initiatives
  • Ensure customer service standards are followed by all team members and address issues as they arise
  • Effectively handle customer concerns and requests, making final decisions on service recovery
  • Work closely with Director/Manager to implement and oversee overall strategies for engagement, customer service, comp ability, games layout and mix, revenue growth, and expense management
  • Maintain and process all paperwork, logs, schedules, and communication pertaining to the VLT department
  • Responsible for the engagement of all team members on assigned shift by addressing and managing team member feedback, suggestions, complaints, and grievances
  • Responsible for the overall integrity of daily operations on assigned shift
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university, or minimum of five years' experience in a comparable VLT leadership position, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Excellent skills in both written and oral communication
  • Proficient in Microsoft applications (Excel, Word) and knowledge of VLT operating systems
  • Ability to interact with guests, staff, and colleagues and resolve problems and conflicts in a diplomatic and tactful manner
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Extensive knowledge of VLT Operations
  • Flexible to work all shifts, including holidays, nights, weekends, and overtime as business needs dictate
