We are currently seeking a dedicated and customer-focused Corporate Communications Officer to support our team. This position is designed to assist the Government lead in delivering a thorough and integrated oversight and compliance capability, enabling authorized missions in alignment with Federal regulations and policies that protect privacy rights and civil liberties. As part of the ODE PMO, you will help establish, uphold, and ensure project management standards by directing activities, monitoring project progress, and implementing best practices. Your expertise will be essential in developing new policies, procedures, and strategic implementation plans, as well as creating and delivering tailored training related to the ODE mission.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, revise, and manage all communication-related initiatives, including newsletters, informational materials, website content, and other products for both internal and external audiences.
  • Craft, write, and disseminate content to enhance ODE's brand and promote its activities and objectives.
  • Serve as a liaison with the Office of Communications to ensure timely and appropriate dissemination of materials for the workforce.
  • Collaborate with ODE's government personnel to produce all diversity-related communication materials for the agency and oversight bodies.
  • Identify, design, and implement ODE's communication strategy.
  • Oversee quality control and process improvement initiatives, including the development of plans and strategies related to ODE's communications, both within ODE and for the Agency's workforce.
  • Draft and maintain supporting documentation, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and guidelines for communication materials and strategies.
  • Assist with annual, quarterly, and ad hoc reporting requirements by preparing and delivering briefings and reports for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Engage in meetings with ODE and partners regarding diversity and inclusion and implementation topics.
  • Participate in Intelligence Community and Federal Government working groups as directed.
  • Respond to all customer inquiries within four business hours, depending on the nature of the request.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 11+ years of relevant experience in communications or workforce diversity.
  • Bachelor's Degree or higher in Communications or a related field with strategic planning experience, or 4 additional years of relevant experience.
  • Proven ability to develop strategic plans and guidelines related to communication products and services.
  • At least 2 years of experience with communication products and services.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to collaborate with multiple stakeholders to achieve positive outcomes.
  • Experience in creating and executing communication plans and products.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Subject Matter Expert in communications and public affairs.
  • Experience working independently or with minimal supervision while delivering timely results.
  • Competency in performing significant staff officer duties with little to no oversight.
  • Experience interacting with senior-level directors and agency heads.

Clearance Requirements:

  • Active TS/SCI clearance with the ability to obtain and maintain a Polygraph.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for 50% of the time.
  • Occasional mobility within the office to attend meetings and engage with customers in person.
  • Effective communication with colleagues, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
  • Ability to operate a computer keyboard and other office equipment.
