Job Title: Travel Nurse RN Med Surg

Epic Travel Staffing is seeking a skilled travel nurse RN Med Surg to join our team in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated and experienced travel nurse RN Med Surg to provide high-quality patient care in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As a travel nurse RN Med Surg, you will have the opportunity to work with a diverse patient population and develop your skills in a variety of settings.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to patients with a variety of medical conditions, including severe injury to the bones, joints, and/or soft tissue, traumatic brain injuries, and spine injuries.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Participate in unit-based quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.
  • Document patient information accurately and thoroughly in the electronic medical record.
Requirements:
  • Current RN license in North Carolina.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a travel nurse RN Med Surg.
  • Ability to take heparin drips, PCA, colostomy care, feeding tube care and management, blood product administration, central line care/management, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, IV starts, and active RN license required.
  • BLS certification.
  • ACLS certification preferred.
  • Epic documentation experience required.
Preferred Skills:
  • Interpretation of dysrhythmias.
  • Pre/Post Hemodialysis Management.
  • Management of drips.
  • CVA.
  • Pre/Post Neuro Surgery.
  • Spinal cord injuries.
Unit Details:
  • Unit: 106-14-3S Ortho Trauma/General Surgery.
  • Shift: 12HR NIGHT.
  • 48 hours accepted.
  • Contract Length: 13 weeks+ up to March 15, 2025 (hard stop).
